I can't remember where I read about somebody taking their Lemons car to have inspected and the inspection place just rejecting it "because it was a race car" so they went right down the street and got it inspected by another shop with out a problem. UNTIL, the inspection police (DMV maybe?) showed up at their house and arrested them for fraud. Their assumption was that they had bribed the second place, was a huge hassle to get it dropped. Probably should search the Lemons forum to find out more about that.
