No, the don't. It's just a single comforter, about the size of a sleeping bag.

There is a sheet between you and the mattress, if that is what you're asking?

Rodney, did your hotel have AC?

it was supposed to have AC, but broke at the time, at least you could open the window. Between that and getting locked in the stairwell, it was a lovely stay

So, with all your travels, I'm guessing you haven't heard about Art's motion, and the binding vote that came with it at the meeting while you were gone. . .

Yeah, seems ridiculous - but they are clean and well kept. Nothing like VIR or Summit Point by mid afternoon.

Exactly. One other thing that struck me was how you can be out in the middle of nowhere in the German countryside, pull into a small gas station/store, and the bathroom is spotlessly clean. The owner takes pride in providing a clean bathroom and store...something that in so many cases is long lost here in the States. :(

I hesitate to ask, but what did Art volunteer me for now? Something to do w/ a stairwell I'm sure

So this is my final evening here. It's been fun, but I'm ready to get back home. Taking Dieter and Helga out to a nice restaurant this evening for a final celebration, Dieter's Birthday today, and then hit the bed early. Need to be up by 3:30a, on the road by 4:30 and at the airport by 5. Plane flight is at 7 to London w/ a layover. From there, back home to the heat. Weather has been exceptionally cool here these past few weeks, in the high 60's or low 70's. A few rain showers here and there, but nothing that has impacted the trip.

Local forward to getting back to the US and being able to understand the conversations around me. I am a stranger in a strange land. I'll miss the hospitality on my aunt and uncle along w/ the great meals, but I'm sure they want their house and life back

I'm back.....and struggling to stay awake at the moment. Only 8:30, but 3am for me, so I've been up for 24 straight right now. I will say this, I hate flying and all the BS that's associated w/ international flying. I bet I had to show my passport to 12 different people today. Flying has lost it's fun factor for me, especially when you're stuck in a seat for 8 hours.

Very good to be home....

I'm reminded of a thread where you were concerned about how you would fit in a new daily driver. Any comments on how well a man of your stature fits in coach for eight hours? (I'm assuming coach, 'cus the only way I paid for b'zness seats was on the company's dime)

At least Rodney carries some of his height in his torso, I'm all legs. Flying is miserable. I had a guy bitch at me on my flight home from Italy once because he was pissed he couldn't recline fully (b/c he was slamming into my knees).

I can see where it would suck for Brice to ride in a plane being all legs. As Brice stated, I have a lot of upper torso height. I did fly coach, can't afford the other up scale stuff. When the person in front of me leans back, I feel trapped and have to keep my legs stuffed under the seat. As good luck would have it on the flight back, there was no one sitting in front of me, so never had the seat lean back issue. I also had the isle seat, so I could at least stick one leg in the isle and stretch out, but then you always had to be aware of carts and people.

I have only really lucked out on an overseas flight once. On my last flight back from Japan I was a row where an emergency exit door was in place of what would be a row in front and I was at the window side. Extra legroom for a 13.5 hr flight was outstanding!
