The BMWCCA has set the date for the next street survival for Saturday March 3rd. This will held down at Sanford as it was last year. Typically BMWCCA asks THSCC to help w/ the event in regard to use of the bus and volunteers. This is not a THSCC sponsored event. This sorta boils down to an insurance thing and how's it's written. BMWCCA tarheel chapter will run the event.

So, I know lots of you have helped in the past and I'd like to ask anyone that interested in helping the SS to please let me know. Typically the BMWCCA folks are looking for event volunteers or instructors. If you have 4+ years of autocross and/or track, you can submit your name for instructor consideration. BMWCCA makes the final call on instructors. We can always use help during the event. We need folks to watch for traffic as students move from station to station.

This is always a great event and so fun to watch bleary eye students moan on why they're there during the morning sessions to someone that's having an absolute blast at the end of the day. This is a VERY worth while event to help volunteer at.

Let me know if you can help out and post up here. I'll submit names to Denis for what ever position you'd like to work.

I got an email from Phil requesting instructors so I responded directly already.

Rodney, Fyi I talked to Denis -- I'm up for chief of course again (unless of course someone else begs for the job, no bruised ego on my part to hand it over). Hopefully I won't get stomach flu again like last year, that sucked!

Yeah, I knew that Denis had reached out to you for course design. Very good to have you on board again!

I can get the bus down there for you on the Friday before. Not sure if I'm available to actually help for the event yet, but I can at least do that much.

I'm scheduled to be on-call for work during that week, otherwise I would be happy to volunteer. Will see if I can work it out somehow. Who do we contact to apply?

It sounds like this would be perfect for Emmon to get a taste of real driving after so many hours spent in the simulator, probably causing his confidence to be artificially inflated way to high to be safe. He's set to get his license in February...

Do you need me to get the bus down there Rodney, or are you taking it down?
