Thanks Matt. The GT is priced about what I was planning on spending but I don't want to save $300 just to wish I had spent the extra in a couple months and gotten the hydraulic brakes and such. Also if Specialized truly builds a better bike I would rather just spend the extra bit now. Though for all I know I could become obsessed with biking and end up with something crazy within a year like a few people I know.
