If I would have actually attended enough events and possibly earned a trophy I would have seen it. But I agree, these are one of those thankless jobs that so many people in the club have. Thanks VK!

Thanks Jeremy. I'd have to say that I'm more than a little disappointed nobody had much of anything to say about the trophy design. I thought it was very original if nothing else. The little 'jabs' at you and James were of my doing, but the design work was actually done by Barrett Whritenour (of our track program) which took a lot of time and effort.

Here is Jeremy's trophy for those who couldn't make it to the party and wanted to see what they looked like this year. BTW, take a close look at the text in the lower left corner. That was for Bret, Remchak, and all the Hans lovers in the club. :lol

I really like the new matte finish, mine is being placed upon the "wall of mediocrity" tonight.

FWIW, I never looked at the plaque until yesterday, so I apologize for not noting it earlier. The plaques were very cool, and I liked the digs at individual drivers.

(Still doesn't hold a candle to the barefoot driver slide homage to Ram, though)

Yeah, the slot car track with the G35 and 330 (ZCP to boot I think) was pure awesome! I'll be hanging mine in my office at work along with the others from the last 6 years or so. All together, they're way better than some more traditional artwork that you see in the work environment.

Big thanks to VK for doing the art all year and I forgot to bring a small gift from the Autocross staff but I'll have to give it to you at the next meeting.

Big thanks to everyone that pitched in and the club sponsors!

Great design and theme...particularly the choice of the E46 (and driver). :D Oh, and Konis that haven't leaked but have been a knocking...

When I got back to my seat after receiving my trophy, I got a good laugh at the design and all of the "advertising" details. Reminded me of the boxes for the slot car sets I had as a child.

Two things:

1) I challenge the autocross VPs and event chairs next year to REALLY design courses with "Deep Slots for Positive Control". I know this is going to just about kill Kevin, but that's the challenge anyway.

2) I did a double take tonight when I realized the Infiniti G35 pictured had F-Stock numbering. Hunter Penzer ran 1 (that's one, ein, eight minus seven, 2**16/65536) event this year, and his car makes the trophy artwork? I'm sure he's a great guy, but if he's going to get this kind of recognition, he needs to show up a little more often.

[Officially, I'm not really mad. I was thrilled to have my car featured on the 2010 trophies. Thanks, y'all.]
