Yeah but in a good way  I don't think she is 60, pretty sure some parts are way younger than that.

At least he (Dieter) has never been over on his back. So how about that Sentra Steve? I notice you've kept quiet about the Nelson Ledges event on here.

I was not driving at the time.

we were one of the six teams that experienced a roll-over.

What's the story there? Bad run-off areas catching sliding cars?

Guess the LeMons forums are burning up

Not likely since it was a CCWS race, not Lemons. Besides I was told they finished the race, and in Lemons if you put it on the roof then you subsequently put it on the trailer.

yes, pounded out the dents, added a quart of oil and i went out. ran five laps came back in, pulled the front fender off the wheel again, changed the two front tires and we ran 12 more hours to the finish.

our fastest lap time was actually set about ten hours after the "incident".

we were hp challenged, kind of like bringing a knife to a gunfight, but the car handled well. we could hang with or were faster than most everyone in the twisties but lost massive ground on the straights.

we lost about 2 hours due to the fact that the RMS blew out and oiled down the clutch. we had a spare clutch plate but no RMS so Kyle had to drive nearly all the way to Cincy to get a RMS.

as for the rollovers, several things were going on that weekend. while it was dry for about 4 days before the race and dry during the race; it had rained for three weeks solid prior to the race. the ground was dry but the soil was black and full of water.

add in the large amount of asshat-ery and the unbelievable number of offs over the weekend and you get six cars on their roofs.

according to our crash-test / cage test driver, he dropped two wheels to the left and held it straight until his speed came down enough to re-enter the racing surface. however before that transpired the car snapped to the right across the track and into the tire wall. he went over once and landed on the driver's side where he sat until the tow-truck and EMS came to get him.

he may have got some help but no real way to tell exactly what happened from my vantage point.

long and short of it is this; expect the CCWS rules to be much different regarding contact and off track excursions next season.

The Wild Wild West is about to be a lot tamer................. 8)
