Liz and I nominated each other for novice coordinator. We want to be bad influences on as many noobs as possible. Everything else was apparently someone else's joke. haha

Just to make sure it's perfectly clear, I am only interested in novice coordinator. If you vote for me for anything else, you will have wasted your vote. Thanks.

I'm down for being on the ballot for autox VP... that is as long as Matt wasn't blatently lying to me when he explained what it would entail.

Seriously though, I definitely plan on being at every autox in 2012, I want to have more chances to design courses, and I would like to give back to the club and reduce my entry fee costs.

Nice Zach. If you get elected and don't like it you can blame me. Honestly, it ain't too bad and you learn a lot about what it takes to make the events happen. After this year, I have a whole new appreciation for what it means to be part of a great club. The biggest change is that as a VP you have to be the point person for 1/3 of the events as the General Manager and make sure you can be there to monitor course setup the day before. Club meetings are a piece of cake too, as they are a great excuse to get together to babble about the automotive affliction we all share while enjoying tasty beverages.

My only advice to any new officers is that you just have to keep autocross at "arm's length" and don't let it consume you or you'll get the infamous burnout bug. Now I'm sure my wife thinks I've gone off the deep end with my need to not go more than 3-4 weeks without racing.

-Matt (goes back to reading Autocross Secrets  )

AX VPs shouldn't design courses, they just approve ;-)
