It seems as part of the integration process for the Progress Energy and Duke merger, PE is in need of some QUALIFED contracts. They have recently started a referral program.

IT Sourcing Specialist

This position provides deep functional and technical strategic sourcing expertise, specifically with software contracts. Develop, manage, and implement strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned corporate-wide software contracts. Development of procurement strategy for major projects and initiatives using established sourcing best practices and project management methodology. Develops category and vendor strategies proactively through on-going market and spend analysis. Effectively plans and leads the negotiation strategy for sourcing events. Negotiates or manages the negotiation of contract terms and conditions, cost savings, and performance standards to meet desired initiative or project outcomes. Communicates with all levels of management within the sourcing area and with key stakeholders in the company. Regularly participates in business unit meetings to communicate or collaborate on initiatives, project activity, supplier performance and business planning.

IT Analyst

Sr. developer/analyst needed to work as part of Energy Supply and Transmission Solution Support team to support key applications for diverse client stakeholder group. This position is responsible for supporting key operational systems ranging from pricing import engines, deal scenario analytics, and business decision reporting solutions. This position will be integral in maintaining service levels and identifying and implementing improvements to reduce incidents.

Responsibilities include: Working with team to fully support application solutions for clients business needs. This position will include troubleshooting and resolving client issues and concerns. This includes tracing issues between integrated systems and applications to root cause of issue, so full end to end understanding is important. This position will involve collaboration with all stakeholders and system users, other business analysts, developers, support team, operations, database, etc. to support full integrated solutions in a 24x7 environment. On-call support may be necessary after hours. May also provide enhancements based on prioritized business needs.

Requirements
• .NET (using C#.NET or VB.NET) – Desktop and Web environment, – 3 years experience highly desired
• Oracle – database development with views, stored procedures, triggers, writing and debugging pl/sql code and scripting, writing queries – 3 years experience is a plus
• Java – J2EE,Struts, message driven beans, Ajax, interfacing with vendor APIs, using IBM RAD, Websphere and CVS- 3 years experience highly desired webMethods - In-depth knowledge of the various webMethods software components and a very good understanding of EAI and B2B concepts (JDBC Adapter, Broker, JMS Adapter, XML, web-services, SOA, DTDs, Schemas, and EDI standards) is a plus
• Experience working with time sensitive data – real time, hourly values – highly desired
• Crystal Reports development and/or Business Objects Universe & Report development - highly desired
• Understanding of ITIL service management best practices – a plus
• Demonstrated strong organizational change management skills within a large organization
• Demonstrated intensity in completion of work assignments
• Demonstrated knowledge and use of good software engineering practices
• Demonstrated strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and consulting skills are required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline from an accredited institution

Primary Duties:
• Application support of complex systems and project issues along with developing small enhancements to existing applications.
• Understand, support and adhere to PGN proper coding techniques, methods, standards and processes
• Understand, support and adhere to PGN operational procedures and standards.
