jason, I just saw this and would like to check it out myself but my schedule is not going to let me do it so I thought I would show it to you and if you get it I want first right of refusal (remember the great deal I gave you on your seats).

there's a similar one for sale here too http://raleigh.craigslist.org/mcy/2580202574.html
interesting, although i really don't want a bike with abs. still...........

Thats stupid money, it's a 4 year old bike no matter how many miles.

AbS saved my ass one time when I wasn't paying attention so I kinda of like it.

Mike,Vickie and are combining a trip to see her dad in Bluefield with a motorcycle trip this weekend so I have been making plans. While I would hate for you to miss riding past the holy of holies (VPI & SU in Blacksburg on 460 on the way to Roanoke), I am going to take a different route. From Bluefield I will take 52 over East River Mountain to bland which is a great little ride in its self and go this way:

I haven't been on much of this but it is very secluded so should be no traffic. Motorcycleroads.us gives it high marks.

No matter how you go it will be fun!

Unfortunately, the opportunity to make this ride vanished. Oh well, maybe another opportunity will come along some other day.

That stinks.

You missed a good ride out to B'ham with Rob, Doug, and I. Just shy of 500 miles on Friday over the course of about 12 hours. Fall colors peaking, fast riding, no traffic. Sublime.

Barber was great - if not a bit warm. Then Sunday's ride was also great, 28 to Fontana Dam, Cherohaulass, BRP to Asheville, etc.

I went 792 miles this weekend (two up ) did the basic area's that Mike had planned. I went on some roads I had not before. VA hwy 42 from Bland to Newcastle absolutely no traffic lots of sweepers and twisties. Hwy 311 from newcastle to Roanoke was pretty good to. Decided to blow off the parkway and went 221 out of roanoke to floyd, Parkway for a little to get breakfast at Maby's mill then down the mountain on 58 then 8 to 89 to Winston, 158 to oxford. Great ride. Wife says I have to buy a new seat.
