You feel it? Rocked our building here in lovely downtown Raleigh. Very weird feeling.... I'm located off of Salisbury st near the auditorium. Happened about 1:53p.

We felt it in RTP, my family in Apex felt it, and parents in Kernersville. Found it on CNN - 5.8 magnitude centered in VA near DC. But so much internet traffic now, can't get to CNN anymore. :)

We felt it in Wilson! Scared the crap out of me since I've never felt the entire building move. My monitor and chair shook for about 4-5 seconds.

The phone by my workspace in the lab felt the effects for a while, too. Everybody had to call and get calls from their family members so they'd know there was an earthquake.

One of my coworkers was on a teleconference call with two people in Philly and one person in Greensboro. Their conversation went something like this:

Philly person #1: (to Philly person #2) "Whoa, do you feel that?"
RTP person: "Yeah, what is it?"
Philly person #1: "What?? You feel it in RTP?"
Greensboro person: "Uh... I feel it, too."
