Looks like Advnace Auto has a few new items of interest.

1) Redline oil stocked on the shelf. $8 per quart.

2) Battery cable (3/0? size) sold at $1.88 per foot (in case you want to relocate that battery to the trunk). I hear welding wire is more flexible and works just as well (not sure it's price per foot).

Advance Auto Parts and Red Line Synthetic Oil Team Up With Team Racing In NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series

(CHARLOTTE, N.C.) - Team Racing announced the signing of Advance Auto Parts to its roster of sponsors with drivers Phil Bonifield and Jamie Aube. Both Bonifield and Aube will carry the Advance Auto Parts colors on the Nos. 25 and 86 Advance Auto Parts / Red Line Synthetic Oil Chevrolet Silverados in the 2004 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

"Red Line Synthetic Oil is a well-known product in the racing business," said Bonifield, who is entering his ninth season as an owner and sixth as a driver. "The company wants to let people know that Red Line Oil is available at more than 2,500 Advance Auto Parts stores nationwide. Red Line Oil and Advance Auto Parts are using Team Racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series as a marketing tool to promote this new business-to-business venture.

"Red Line Oil has been with me throughout my racing career. They are a long-time and committed sponsor and will continue this in 2004. This is really big news for us at Team Racing. Last season was our first fulltime deal with two trucks and one running a part-time schedule. Now, we've got a two-truck operation and two co-primary sponsorships to help us run for the championship in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. I am confident we will do well this year."

In 2004, Bonifield and Team Racing have turned heads early with impressive results at the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series test session at Daytona International Speedway. Bonifield posted the fastest lap by a Chevrolet in the second day of testing with a speed of 180.556 mph, a time of 49.856 sec.

Team Racing is coming off a record-setting season last year with Bonifield scoring 15 career-finishes at racing facilities including Daytona International and Kentucky Speedways and Memphis Motorsports Park. Jamie Aube, teammate to Bonifield, made his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start in 2003 and scored a career-best 17th-place finish at his home track, New Hampshire International Speedway. Both truck teams finished in the top-25 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series owner points standings.

Advance Auto Parts is the second largest automotive aftermarket retailer in the United States, operating in 38 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Listed among the Fortune 500 companies, Advance Auto Parts now operates with more than 2,500 stores with more than 33,000 employees.

You can get Red Line oils at Carolina Mustang on Chatham St in Cary. They sell the engine oil for $8/qt unless it's gone up. They also have tranny fluid and rear diff fluids. Very fair pricing and local boys. Heck they even let Chevy guys in the door!

Auto Sport Gallery (Just off of old Wake Forest, near Charles & Donna's shop) also keeps Red Line fluids in stock, and there is a THSCC discount.
