LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel County police say two men who tried to carjack a vehicle ran off when they found out the car had a stick shift.

A man was talking with acquaintances early Tuesday at the Exxon on Camp Meade Road in Linthicum when two masked men, one with a gun, tried to take his car.

But the suspects ran off when the man said his 2005 Volkswagen has a stick shift.

Heck, Vincent could have just stopped with "OK, my car is a VW". But knowing Vincent he would have added, "But I have a BMW at home that you are welcomed to."
He really knows how to deter a thief...or German car lover.

P.S.: I'm working on a VK theme at the moment to goad him into coming to the Wilson Rally-X for a rematch. I managed to fix the bent and cracked lower control arm that was making my Sentra a little hard to drive well for the last half of the BMW Farm event July 10th.

Oh, I'll be there.

And I wouldn't brag too much when you have a 140HP car with an LSD vs. a 71HP one with 1WD.

Vincent, I'm not bragging. Speed costs money (or time and money), how fast do I want to go? Just slightly faster than YOU! If it takes 300HP and I beat you, I'll still feel better. You are talented, I'll beat you any way that is permitted by the rules...and then some. :D
We AARP folks have to try harder, but we just won't roll over...well, not literally anyway.
