Sort of... the deck is RIGHT behind NG's, see this link - have to drive through their "parking lot" to get to it. Always plenty of parking, and at least for the last couple months the deck has been completely open and free on weeknights.

Great beer and food, and a central location - this would be my choice.

That's it with the parking deck right behind it, which I'm 99% sure is free or charge during the weekdays. It's easy to get to with Wade (from west) and Capital (from east) and it's usually dead during the week.

What did Kevin Allen do this time?

My vote is for Tyler's in Apex. They don't require food purchases to get their private room like Natty Greens. Plus Wednesday is NC Beer Night!

I was tasked with finding a meeting spot for another group and looked at NG but was disappointed when I found out they required you purchase food for your group. "Each menu selection (http://www.nattygreenes.com/sites/default/files/files/TheLoft-Raleigh.pdf) serves approximately 20 people. Soft drink service, including coffee and tea, is an additional $20. Food/beverage tax (7.75%) and gratuity (20%) will be automatically included." OUCH!!

The Apex lovation is inconvenient, but Tylers has a great beer selection and much better food: worth driving for.

I agree with Michael and I think the hoops we have to jumps through for NGs as Mary pointed out makes it less desirable.

ouch. fail. I like the downtown idea, but not enough to deal with that much red tape. Tyler's sounds good to me as well.

Just FYI, we 'tested' Tyler in Apex after the bus day on Sunday evening and it worked out quite well :).

Joking aside, the private dining room is a good size (as big or bigger than Rudinos). To Dustin/Brice's conversation, yes if you are drinking big belgians and other 8%+ ABV beverages, it can get expensive, but I'd say the vast majority of 16oz drafts are in the $4 range as I would suspect is the case at Natty Greenes. Most entrees, burgers, sandwiches are between $7-10.

This really stinks -- I'm sorry about the Wake County folks who had to drive to RTP for the meetings at Rudinos, but believe me, driving west on I-40 during afternoon rush is a piece of cake compared to I-40 east. Though not guilty of residing in Wake County, membership in this club has caused me to suffer through countless infuriating stoppages on I-40, and perpetual stop light infested where did all of these people come from and why don't they go back crawls on Glenwood Ave, Millbrook Rd, and NC 54 in order attend our glorious club meetings. Imagine my delight in being able to travel from my Miami Blvd office to the meeting place in only 5 minutes! Now that we have to move again, I'm not really enthusiastic about adding Davis Drive or NC 55 to my list of hated roads.

Since I've decided it's all about me  , can anybody suggest a suitable place around Brier Creek? That's in Wake County, but just barely, so it wouldn't inconvenience me too much. I don't think Carolina Ale House has a suitable room, and their parking is a mess. Trali is great but too small. Does anybody know if the O'Charley's has a private meeting room? Has anybody been to Fiascos?

word has it Art that there are a few BB-Q places in Wilson with supple amounts of meeting space. maybe it is time the Cone-Chasers move a wee bit East. again? no?

given the info-age we live in i vote for a tele-conference meeting.

Art, I probably work right near you and I still vote Tyler's Apex. 55 is cake. Lights but consistent traffic. And as Michael says, it's worth the effort due to quality of food/drinks.

Great idea, except you didn't take commuting on I-40 east out of the equation. Or course, SUPPLE amounts of meeting space sounds very appealing, so that becomes my new primary requirement. Anybody who checks out a restaurant for club meeting use should ask the manager if the meeting room is supple. Forget everything else.

Except for Gwen's & Bernie's convenience. That's my next new primary requirement. I move that all future club meetings be held in the Baake's kitchen.
