I know all of the Subaru guys have probably seen this, but it is truly amazing and needs to be relayed:

I thought I was lucky to survive my accident.... I'm certainly not a religious man, but this was a true miracle. - AB

Wow thats impressive, however there is no way there was 45000 gallons of LN in the truck maybe 4500, however he is still lucky to be alive.

We take 81-N through PA during our annual trek to northern NY. Truck traffic is absolutely horrible through there.

That guy had someone looking out for him...amazing that he's alive and relatively unscathed.

you got my curiosity up so I looked it up. Tankers can cary 4500 to 10,000 gallons, so your guess is probably right.

I am amazed he was able to survive let alone get away with pretty minor injuries.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

I work at a company that makes software for Trucking Comapanies and work with several guys who used to work for trucking companis, and depending on weight they can only carry a certian amount, in fact one of the guys who works with me says in PA the most they can carry is 7500 gallons.

peaked my interest too so was playing with the numbers.. if the tank was 6 ft diameter it would be a 208 ft long tanker to have 45000 gallons.. think about having all the trucks on I-81 be that long and think of what traffic would be like.. 81 sucks as it is... :D

I'm guessing that the truth to the whole 45000 thing is that the trailer was carrying 45000lbs of Liquid oxygen. I'm not sure how much LOX weighs per gallon but I wouldn't be surprised if it was in the 10lbs per gallon range thus the 4500 gallons would also be a correct number.

Other than the anal math stuff, Damn  that is one messed up Scooby. That guy was lucky to make it out in such good shape.
