First, what do you guys think about starting a Forum for "What Car/racing stuff is on tv" I've been surfing more lately and didn't know what all was out there.

Speaking of, I just discovered Suddenlink Free on Demand. While looking around to see what was on that I found where Horsepower TV was doing a Camaro for Autocrossing.

Great idea. I'd imagine most of the car shows are on a rotating schedule.

Maybe an updated post with a weekly schedule or something?

BTW, it took me two years of digital TWC to find out that several TG's are on demand for 'free'.

I saw an interesting "Rides" yesterday from 2004 yesterday in which they transplanted an aluminum V8 from a new GS430 into an IS300 along with a Supra six-speed. Sometimes the old shows are a good way to kill time.

If only they didn't let Chip do the exterior. He's the king of the old two-tone paint with pinstripes. Blah.

Some of my favorites

Spike:
Horsepower TV
Trucks
4x4
MuscleCar

Most of the spike shows are pretty good. Even if the topic doesn't interest you, they are usually showing cool stuff on fabrication, etc. One of my favorite recent projects was "Rolling thunder" on Trucks. They purchased a Mazda B2300 and installed a Ford 4 valve v8 mod motor in it. They are still working on it, but so far have 8 parts or so.

HD theater:
Wheeler dealers
Chasing classic cars
Wreck Rescue
Autotrader

HD theater has a lot of cool car stuff these days. Wheeler dealers i pretty good. They spend 2 episodes per car. With a 2-4000 budget they buy an older car and do a mini-restore in it. They usually pick pretty interesting cars. Alot of the other stuff they show are other british car shows that most have never heard of.

Thanks Cline, had no clue about the Free Suddenstink On Demand shows. Lots of kids stuff.

Unfortunately for Cline and I the HD Theater stuff is an EXTRA tier...

I have one of the cheapest dish setups available. I no longer have speed, but luckily have HD theater.

Yeah, I watch all the stuff. I've been catching up on My Classic Car &Two guys Garage, I learn stuff on there all the time. HD Theater has some awesome stuff I just don't know when it is going to be on, they had a special on the Cobra Daytona coupe that was really good. My current favorite is Cafe Racer on HD.

I spent the night at my nephews house in Charlotte and saw HD Theater on his DVR and came straight home and called Suddenlink. Best 7.95 I spend in a month.

I only recently figured out that Speed actually is showing the 2010 FIA GT1 races and WTCC.

On DishNetwork, do a programming search, change the keyword search to "Info" (not title) and search for FIA (I think that's how I found it anyway.) Title comes up as Auto Racing. They are widescreen as well (can't really say the are HD, but they look good.)

I also found what was supposed to be a Spec Viper series on Versus, but when DVR'd it was an infomercial :(

I have no idea why this is the case and it drives me nuts. Might as well just title it "Stuff"

I know I will get untold amounts of abuse for this, but here goes: I DVR'd a show "Ralph Lauren's Car Collection" He does have a great car collection, all of it is racing based. From Blower Bentley's, Ferrari Testa rossas, Bugatti and Porsche's. I was so apprciative I might start buying Ralph Lauren stuff if they start selling at sam's.
