Has anyone heard from our guys at the race in Palm Beach? I saw on facebook the crew Dave O'Malley is running with is in eighth place. But no word on the THSCC crew.

Magnum was running in 4th before the car had a clutch failure. They did a clutch swap in 3 hours and got back out there only to encounter a power steering leak. That has now been fixed as well and they are back out there, however they are now in 50th.

No definite word on Grim Reaper, but I think things were going well for them. I think Stephen thought they were somewhere in the top 15.

Wow, sounds like a typical junk car race (race, work, race, work, give up and drink beer).

Keep us updated! And pass along our good luck wishes.

Yeah, the disc had been replaced recently too. Just talked to Judi and the car is still running. They have made there way back to ~30th.

Dave O'Maley posted this on Facebook a while ago. Looks like the Grim Reaper team was doing pretty well and I think O'Maley is part of the Clueless Racing team in second.

Of course this information is ancient history by now.

I found this on the Lemons forum. Any idea what happened to the Clueless Civic?

ronman on the Lemons forum wrote:
Ok, I'm back, and Jay, Phil, Johnny and everyone else are pigging out on my beer butter-injected fried turkey and spicy garlic potatoes.

Update as of 11pm is as follows:
#69 Probe remains in the lead, by a margin of 31 laps (720). #38 MX3 is second (689), #998 Paseo is third (679), Eyesore is fourth (679), #999 Paseo fifth (677), #311 '92 318i is sixth (676), #61 Clueless Civic is seventh (651), #66 '91 3000GT "GT30" is eighth (647), #12 Fastish and Furriest '91 Volvo 240 is ninth (643), and #19 Team Megalodon '95 Infiniti J30 is tenth (641).

The third-place Paseo is the class B leader, and the #43 Super Beetle remains class C leader.
The #304 Town Car and #371 Achieva are in 37 and 38th places, respectively.

Checker is dropping soon, so I'm signing off for now.

Yeah, from what I am told the clutch friction material was gone from only 1 side of the face. Strange indeed

O'Malley's team was #38, Hong-Nor, I think they came in second

It looks like they won Class A (I don't speak Lemons so I don't know exactly what that is.) That picture above is what he posted on FB with the caption of...

I still haven't seen how Magnum or the Reaper did.

3 Classes

Good
Bad
Ugly

Totally subjective classing by Jay and Co. based upon how crappy he thinks they are.

We won Bad back in the spring, it dosent pay :(

Unofficially Magnum, PU finished 32nd and congrats to the Grim Reaper guys who raced their way into the 10th spot.

In the "woulda, coulda, shoulda" camp we could have finished as high as 3rd or 4th had the clutch not failed.

Still, another good showing for the THSCC crowd.
