But Ty Pennington is a "bigger bang"? God help us.
You didn't like Travis so I picked a more popular (well known for those with a TV) celebrity. "Bigger Bang" wasn't the term I should have used though because I'm not trying to compare people with great American significance in history for pete's sake.

My point was the man wasn't "fun" (personality) so he didn't appeal to me. My guess is the target audience of the US TG is younger than the UK one (I may be wrong though) and those folks don't think Buzz is as cool as you do I'll bet.
I can't really comprehend why anyone would find a man who went to the moon and back describing that process in any small part "boring" regardless of age, but your probably right most people in the target demographic would probably just say "Whose this old geezer, George Washington? *click* Let's see whats going on on Jersey Shore."
His appearance is unfortunate in the fact that now we will likely get to see Ty Pennington kick his ass on the track and an American hero will be sitting at the bottom of the leader board. I'm sure they were just going for the impact in this first episode and the future celebrities will be pop culture favorites who will be much more entertaining. At least he will have the excuse that he was 80.
BTW, I certainly have a TV, a really big one in fact and I watch TV all the time, I just don't watch the cancer that is "reality TV", watching that stuff is like directly applying sand paper to my soul.
