Just cleaned out the car and found my best time was 12.3955 @116.5. interesting enough my best speed was 117.28 but the time was 12.4855. And I must thank Les for granny shifting my car I know he'd have beaten me if he speed shifted the car. He just didn't want to buy it :D

So your best ET beat mine by less than a hundredth and I had over 2 tenths on you at the 60' mark? I really did granny shift it. Of course I already have one Corvette in the garage in need of a heart transplant because of a missed shift, so that put a little fear in me. There is definitely an 11.9XX in that car as it sits.

Is this Bernie's red one that frequents autocross that's being talked about?

Anybody planning on going again soon? Or if not, when's the best time to go - assuming they're open multiple days/week? I'd like to see what I can do with the STi, and see how well the Accessport does at figuring 1/4 mile times, 60ft, etc. It will be sometime after next Monday for me.

Why yes it is, I even get the drag racers asking what kind of exhaust system I have!!! Everyone likes the sound of that car.

Kevin,

Not familiar with Accessport, but when I did some strip runs years ago with a Gtimer, once I got it set properly, it was very accurate with timing. Trap speed was slightly off since the Gtimer returned the actual speed at the end of 1/4 mile as opposed to the strip timer which gives an average speed over the final 66'. When I had it set to 12" rollout, and I perfectly shallow staged ("just" turning on the staged light), it was within less than 0.1 seconds ET compared to the strip timer, and 60' times were within maybe 0.05 or so.

Rollout and pitch setting (degrees of pitch per G of acceleration) seem to be the most needed to get these things to accurately match strip timers. Cars with really stiff suspensions might need to play with the pitch/degree of G, but default worked for me.

Rock is open for fun events on Saturdays, and Fayetteville on Sundays. Check their websites though as they stop doing this once it is too cold. I believe they both only show a weekend or two left at this point on their calendars.
