This appears to be a busy season of new shows that are right up my alley. With 24 cancelled I was foreced to look for something else to fill up my TV lineup this fall.

Fav's I am glad for the new season to start.

1) NCIS
2) NCIS LA
3) House
4) CSI (all)
5) Law & Order SVU
6) Fringe

New Shows I am curious about.

1) The Event
2) Chase
3) Hawaii Five-O
4) Detroid 1-8-7
5) Blue Bloods
6) Undercovers

Hopefully the new shows aren't a big pile o crap...

I like Modern Family, Community, Parks & Rec and 30 Rock. I hope The Office will be better this year.

The Event can kiss my ass like Lost did. While I watched it faithfully each week, I am not getting all caught up in another 4 year mess ;) - AB

I never watched Lost, "if" the Event appears to be heading that way I won't watch it :x

Though I disapprove of the lead characters' automotive choices, I like these shows:

Mad Men (1962 Coupe de Ville)
The Good Guys (1979 Firebird)
Burn Notice (1974 Charger)

That poor Charger in Burn Notice looks like it has been through a few "rough" episodes.

I'm still bummed there's no star trek. Is there anything scifi coming out this year?

Caprica, Season 2. Pretty good sci-fi, as it projects current ethical dilemmas into the plot. And shows theunintended consequences of developing AI. Not unlike the debate about sentience running through Star Trek TNG.

ditto on all that, I don't watch anything that requires a commitment.

Anyone else watching Eureka? We're catching up, season 2. Fun, not too serious, SciFi.

yeah...the wife and I like watching that, along with Warehouse 13. Covert Affairs is a good summertime show (bookends well with Burn Notice)

Hoping "Outsourced" and "#^*)$ My Dad Says" will be funny, but derivative comedy and plots based on blogs have me a little concerned

Exactly! Lost was such a huge letdown - it strung me along week after week for 4 seasons, promising to "all come together and make sense in the end", just to arrive at a completely bogus finale.

Love Eureka! Lightweight TV I don't have to be in a certain mood for, but still with good characters and a bit of an arc.

I sorta feel like Burn Notice jumped the shark in the last season or so, but I'm still watching it. I'm super-stoked that Castle is back!

The Event looks a lot like Flash Forward, which in my opinion was a massive failure, but we're gonna try it out anyway. Curious what everyone else thinks about it!

The problem with Flash Forward, The Event etc is that it takes a boring plot and attempts to make it interesting by jumbling up the timelines. It was kinda cool with "Lost" (particularly given how the show was stumbling for the last couple seasons), and now seems like just another re-tread writers literary device.

In the same vein, the buddy dramedies that pit a cooky character with a handler (Monk, Bones, Fringe, Castle, Rizzoli and Isles) or two cooky characters (Psych, Warehouse 13 etc) are also getting a little long in the tooth...Not as stale as procedural crime dramas, but close.
