given the size of Angier, and my propensity for stupidity i believe i will let this one slide. while pushing the car back into the rear lot i came across a metal coat hanger with a loop on the end of it. apparently the cop tossed it over the fence when he was done. probably tried to hit the dumpster but missed.

i do plan on keeping his card, it is just too bizarre an occurance not to maintain evidence of the act.

and yes Jason the breaking and entering analogy crossed my mind also.

In Greenville they don't call them "abandoned." The correct term here is "nuisance" vehicles. Code Enforcement will only let you have one car that is not licensed on your property and it cannot be on jack stands.
Ask me how I know! Also, they don't like old engines and car parts sitting around either.
Yes, VK I know. Sanford and Son.

Steve, If you can get the police to pay for the broken window regulator, you can deduct that amount from the cost of the car. Actually all they have to do is acknowledge they broke it, you should be able to deduct that cause now you can't sell that regulator.... It's worth a try, and it might get past the BS judges!!!!!

What?? I have to get on the internet to find out that one of my vehicles was molested by Barnie Fife? Why wasn't I called immediately? Seriously, save all the paper work for BS Judging (if it ever gets there). I have had this problem before I always back in so they can't see it's untagged.

Steve's not use to backing in. You're going to have to let him be the little spoon next time so he can get some practice.

Even if the car was stolen there is NO PC for him to enter on your property without a warrant.

There are only two agencies that are allowed to trespass on private property

1. Wildlife officers
2. Forest Rangers

But both of these still require PC...

Example... I can ONLY trespass if there is a forest protection issue or Life& Safety problem... Fire/active bug spots.

As someone who has run off the city water police for irrigating WITH MY OWN WELL this kind of abuse of power drives me nuts. I'd want to meet with the shift captain and have a long talk about your rights as a private landowner.
