The RaceChrono hardware is finally ready

For those who saw my other threads last couple of years I have been using RaceChrono software on my smart phone and talking to Aol about imporvements and such for a while. One thing we have been "working" on was a full system, hardware and all that could be bought at roughly 1/2 the price of the other main systems.

Well, here is it is.

even comes with free video intergration software.

Glad to see Aol and his partners get this together.

BTW, the software is still free and works on S40, S60, Nokia and windows based smart phones.

It's $389 with shipping (USD). At least that's how much it works out to. It's listed as $499 on the Aussie site

I have the poor mans version (Dell Axim + Bluetooth GPS + software) but I can't get the Dell charger to charge the battery

Ryan, I use the same setup.... can you charge via the cradle? Maybe not a sufficient mechanism for something like Lemons, but for DE sessions I just make it a point to drop it on the cradle after I parse the data at the end of the session and that's been good enough for me.

Didn't come with the cradle

I have a charger cord but it will not charge the battery because its not a factory Dell cable (from what I have read)

How fast is the internal vs the external GPS?

The Basic (internal) is 1hz, the pro system (external) is now 10hz.

The software is a little different than the free version because the hardware was a known item and not generic. So a few more features, 10 HZ, gps and upcoming 20hz and 100 hz data logging.

The Bluetooth D/L is 20 hz as well.
