Thanks, Marty.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I still have the red Z06 and running it in TTA with NASA. Don't get me started on the Mustangs. I drove our 01 Cobra vert the other day and just don't enjoy it anymore. I guess my gold chain collection is growing at the same rate something else is shrinking. At work yesterday someone tried to tell me that I needed to go to so-and-so dealership in Winston and buy the GT500 sitting on their showroom floor because, "It's FAST!" BLAH! When Ford starts making a car that is truly in the same class as a Z06, I will buy it.
Steve - that rear end wiggle you are afraid of in a Corvette is called "ROTATION". Get used to it and you will be "FAST".
And that class record.... was in TTS. After I stepped up from TTA to run in TTS just so I could have a chance at winning a free Hoosier. Guess the fastest TTS guys never run at CMS.
And for track records, I do believe I have been setting class records at our THSCC events this year as well. If we kept track of them. Which we do not. So oh well. Who's counting....
Did I mention all of this was in a full weight (actually more than stock due to the rollbar), street legal car? Yay me!
On the real side of racing as opposed to flying qualifiers, Jason and Evan put on a GREAT show of racing. I watched the entire first race and took a couple hundred pics. Definitely a lot of good maneuvering and side-by-side running. Watching SpecE30s race definitely makes me want to get one and join the fun.
