When I worked on a landscaping team in college, I ran a 16hp Scag zero turn 52" deck. It was the kind that you stand behind and it rolls you along.

And yes, if the grass is even slightly damp or you are going down a hill with a decent amount of momentum, you have to very carefully decelerate or it'll lock up the wheels.

I loved the thing. My lot right now is too small for something like that but when I have a house on more land, I'll sure to get one.

Patrice, make sure to change the hydraulic oil as recommended because it gets 'sloppy' when the oil is worn out (and obviously is not good for the pumps).
