Congratulations to Leh Keen (Donnie's driving partner on his On Lap adventure) for taking second in GT2 this year. Leh is making quite a name for himself.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

I don't know much about Leh but I saw the Conti 150 coverage on Speed and he was driving the wheels off that Caymanas he reeled in the Fall-Line/Sparco E92 M3 only to bust a wheel when they were banging each other around.

Very impressive though!

I guess that's the classic definition of "driving the wheels off"

I agree, was sad to see Leh have such bad luck at the end of what was a GREAT race.

At least his luck improved at Le Mans, great effort all around there.

Very cool that Leh was just on NASCAR Live to finish out the show with Eli for nearly the last fifteen minutes! I've been listening to Eli longer than Leh has been alive. Damn, I feel old.

I suppose I could wiki it but

how did Leh get his start?

I'm interested because I've seen the "racing dreams" trailer like 23 times and as someone with two young boys am looking into EVENTUALLY getting a couple of Karts going..... if my boys are interested.

Sadly, I don't know how he got started. I do know how he got discovered, though. Wolf Henzler was testing at a PCA event somewhere in a Farnbacher-Loles car and expected to rip up the field. Leh was driving his Dad's older RSR 911 there, which was more car than what Wolf was running (pretty sure it would have been a Grand Am GT car, which was on shittier tires and wasn't allowed to be quite as prepped as the car Leh was in, but PCA classing is PCA classing and Wolf still expected his skill would make up for his car's shortcomings).

I'm not sure if Leh won or not, but he did well enough that Wolf noticed him and when there was talk at F-L of needing another driver, Wolf had them bring him in for a test. He obviously passed it.

Honestly, I don't think Leh did much in karts as a kid, but I could be wrong on that. He does have a kart now down at CMP, but he done blowed it up already. ;)
