I like how Mini said earlier there wouldn't be any "tricks", but decided to setup an Autocross style course vs. using the real track as they said earlier. Of course that was done for "safety" reasons and not because the time difference would have been even larger on the race track.
The Mini marketing team did a great job controlling the content of the interviews. The Mini driver says that the Porsche only has the advantage on the straights, but they home to make up for that in the curves.

(sorry, had to do the roll eye thing)
The Porsche driver explains that it's a pretty even match up other than the HP advantage of the Porsche (there is the HP thing again). That it is going to come down to the driver. You don't think that maybe they had the Porsche driver list all of his pro driving experience and then not mention that the Mini driver races a Mini in SCCA SSB and has been road racing for over 20 years is some way to imply that the Porsche wins because it had a better driver do you?
Then the Porsche driver (bless his heart) talks about all of the things you have to be careful about with the Porsche. That you have to worry about excessive wheelspin and oversteer when exiting turns. My god, who allows Porsche to sell these death machines? I don't want to die, I just want to have fun! And as Mini mentions a few times, its all about "fun", so just give me a Mini!
All joking aside, it played out about as I expected. Porsche won, Mini mentions how much more expensive the Porsche is than the Mini. All an exercise in stating the obvious.
