just seeing what the collective wisdom, or tom foolery the THSCC has.

I am going to redo our bedroom complete, Extreme home edition style but I want to make sure we have a good theme before we start. I was thinking maybe a Tuscan but not ornate. Cathy is thinking something relaxing and maybe transitional.

Here's what we do know

1) All new furniture, most likely with a sleigh bed of medium wood
2) I want a fireplace
3) New floors and paint.

Care to post pictures of ideas? Please keep in mind that children will be entering the room on a regular basis, so we need to keep it G rated.

referring back to another recent theme idea someone posted on the forum  , I say go w/ the car theme. That way you'll always be considered fast in the bedroom 8) . I'm thinking a vinyl wrapped sleigh bed w/ flames should work...

Need to keep it in corner so it doesn't interfere with the swing.

Ok, we need an intervention here Marty. First it was the Twighlight books now it is decorating. Come on man, this the THSCC not HGTV. Get a grip, is this a reaction to the testosterone of the Cobra, I am sure it was a shock to the system after driving the BARBIE sidewalk car for so long. You need to go to a gym and smell some sweat socks, walk around in Lowes, hit your thumb with a hammer, etc to get you manhood back

lol

1) it was NOT the TWILIGHT BOOKS, IT was a series where people were torn to shreds and died.
2) We are talking about ripping up floors, moving walls (maybe), and putting something with fire in it.

I don't have a grasp on the "Design" portion of it, which is why I am asking people who drive Mini's and such to help.

I'm not arguning with you at all, I am just trying to tap into some of that fantastic fasion and design sense you used to pick out that lovely fur coat.

I do have a flair about me. Ok, I'll give is some thought on a bedroom theme. I'm thinking tropical, light woods, lots of ferns, very light color linens, if the room is big enough a hammock in the corner. Plantation shutters in blonde wood. OMG I think you turned me!

How about this theme

lay down, close your eyes, STFU and go to sleep. That's my favorite.

how big is the room? are you remodeling the master bath also? ceramic tile, stone, wood floors or carpet?

i know a very good interior designer if you want her number.

keep in mind your fireplace will have to be vented at the very least to meet code, that is if they even allow fireplaces in bedrooms anymore. i think that is a no-no in some counties. i have always liked the fireplaces that are open to both the master suite and the master bath.

let me know if i can help with anything Marty. well anything but that Metro-Jethro thing you and Cline have going on there.
