My wife has an 06 Escape and the front bumper got scraped by some low life no talent driver. No deep gouges on the bumper, but took the paint off down to the plastic. I also have some paint coming off of the side of the rear bumper where it's starting to pit and flake. Not what I expected for a 4 year old car, but it is what it is.

This has the dark gray glossy painted bumpers. Anyone know where I can buy some spray paint to match these? If push comes to shove, I'm willing to just buy some paint. I have a small paint gun and compressor, so I'm dangerous with these toys!

When I hit Koroush Neshat's tire trailer, I just went and bought subaru blue paint from subaru. I dont know if that helps at all, but here is what i did anyway. My sister has a escape too, fwd v6 escape.

Rodney, the auto body supply place in Raleigh will custom mix paint to match the paint code of most cars. Smallest amount you can get is a pint, I believe.

I used something like this on the worn through and dinged "black inserts" on my 88 5.0 Mustang.

I used some sort of body filler to fix a trailer ding first.

I got whatever I used at Pep Boys.

I just finished painting my entire bumper with this stuff. Color matched pretty well. Can't really tell the difference unless you look at it for a long time. Should be interesting to see if it survives the conage.

Make sure you use 3-4 coats of the clearcoat.

Is there a way to spray automotive paint through an airbrush, like you might find at a hobby shop? Seems like that would allow for some really fine control over a small area. I have several tiny spider cracks on the bumper of the S2000 that I'd like to fix, but I don't think simply wet sanding them will do the job. Cracks tend to be all the way through the clear coat at a minimum, so it's not something that I can remove with correction.

You don't need an airbrush. Just work on your rattle can skillz.
