initially, i was going to say.. well its a ford.. they can not build a transmission.
but... it is a straight cut sequential box. they all whine. the straight cut gears in a big rig whine too. big rigs make all manner of noises.. if your jumpy, a straight cut box will make really odd sounds.

the automatic in our ford explorer , was no match for the car trailer. it blew up twice.

Just finished our 22nd rally and the only thing I did to the MTX-75 is change the oil one time. That thing is rock solid. That said, we are pulling it this weekend and giving it to Cameron Conover for some TLC.
