***Additional Price Drop***

Hello all,

First, I blame all of you for me selling my motorcycle. If it weren't for THSCC and autocross I'd still spend time and money riding.

All joking aside, I'm not riding anymore, and I want to sell my bike. As the title says it is a 2002 Suzuki Bandit 1200S (GSF1200S). It is a great bike, and is incredibly fast, but also quite comfortable. When this bike was new it was described as the fastest, best handling sofa in the world. See review here http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/suzuk ... -road-test.

I've owned it since 2007. I bought it from a dealer in GA, it was previously owned by a soldier who put on the full Yoshimura exhaust and re-jetted the carbs. I was told he had it dyno'd at 120 rwhp, which on a ~500lb motorcycle means a whole lot of giddy-up and go. I had adjustable "dog-bones" added to lower the seat height by about 1.5". If I remember correctly it can easily be lowered further or restored to stock seat height. I also added hand-guards from the Suzuki V-Strom. These make a HUGE difference when riding in chilly weather. They aren't quite as effective as heated grips, but are really nice to have in early spring and late fall.

I've never dropped the bike, but based on the scratches on the bike the previous owner did. Cosmetically its probably a 6.5 out of 10, but the good news is mechanically it is in great shape (8.5 out of 10). It cranks right up every time, and rides great! I've always used motorcycle oil, and it currently has full synthetic. It's an air/oil cooled high performance engine, so I've always run premium fuel (91-93 octane). It will run on 87, though.

Now for the "but", it needs a new front tire to pass inspection. The rear tire has some life left in it, but I always replaced both tires at the same time with this bike. I wasn't riding much, and decided to spend my money on auto-x instead.

I've got the title free and clear, and I'm asking $2500 from club members or member's friends. I'm going to post on craigslist as well. Thanks for looking, now for pictures! (I moved the pics to another post as they are pretty big)

I prefer initial contact be through e-mail either a PM here or chubsmcfun@gmail.com

Thanks for reading

those are good bikes that stay under the radar. I think they are comparable to a Vstrom. GLWS

V-Strom is a street focused dual sport available in either 650 cc or 1000cc. The bandit is strictly a street bike. The motor is based on the old gsxr-1100. In 2001 Suzuki retuned the engine for more mid-range and a better torque curve. They also restyled the body work and added the hid bulbs. All were really good improvements. Yes this bike does fly under the radar. It is capable of well over 150mph, and will get there in a hurry. It's very easy to accidentally break the 100mph mark, due to the power, gearing, and comfort of this bike.

Seriously guys and gals! I need to sell this thing and my other bike, so I can park the Porsche in the garage, and spend more money on auto-x. I'm willing to negotiate the price.

Thanks,

Turner
