I bought this in 2010 for LeMons racing from RaceImage in Charlotte - they specialize in retired Nascar driver and crew suits. This was a crew suit from the old Spears team in the Craftsman truck series. It's a 2 layer, 3-2 A/5 rated, custom-fit Simpson suit, likely a $1K suit back in the day. It's faded, and some of the sewed-on pieces are a little threadbare, but the suit itself is still fine. It's been in a box for several years, but I laundered it after the last race it was used.
Since it's a custom fit suit, it's a little hard to describe the size, but I'll start with the folks who've worn it:
Me: 5'5", 150 (at the time). I wear a size 38 jacket, 32" waist, and 28" inseam. It fits with a little room in the shoulders and waist, and the legs are WAY too long
Sean O'Connell: 6'1", thin but works out a lot. The inseam was perfect for him
I'd estimate it would fit the following sized folks:
- Inseam: up to 34"
- Waist: up to 33", maybe 34"
- Shoulders and chest: up to a size 40 jacket, maybe a 42.
