I knew this was an issue when I bought the 3 from Matt, but I'm starting my search in earnest now to be ready for next year. I'm in need of some decent lightweight wheels for the 3. Right now I'm stuck using the stock wheels due to width restrictions. Does any know of anyplace I can get my hands on a set of 17x6.5 wheels? TireRack and Discount tire only carry 7" wheels for the 3. These stockers are heavy and killing me. I think some lighter wheels would help if I could shed some rotating mass.

I don't need pretty, just straight and true. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'd appreciate the help!!

If you don't mind run 16's next year when you can, I think Brice has a set for sale.

Yeah, you can't legally run them in stock now as a hatch, but if the street rules go through they would be legit for you. 55 mm offset (stock is 52.5), I ran them with spacers in the front (so effectively 50mm offset front, 55 rear) to help a bit with understeer.

$200 and they are yours, but you'll have to get the crusty old r comps off of them. I believe these are about 14 lbs if I'm not mistaken. Could use a coat of paint, but I'm sure Rodney Rice just sees that as a blank canvas.

Sold. I'll take the risk that I'll be allowed some wiggle room for next year. And yeah, Rodney Rice usually see's stuff like that as an "opportunity" to get creative....
