I know somebody wanting a cheap Miata. Could go up to 5k but one for 2500 that needs love would be ok as well. Anybody?

I know of one (NB 2001 I think) with high commuter mileage, 180ishK (Goldsboro to Raleigh) but in great shape inside and out for $3500

I ran into a guy today who has a white 99 he wants to sell. He said it needs a new top, and he was planning to put a new one on. He didn't seem firm on a price, but was thinking around $4000. I think he could be negotiated down particularly before he spends money on a new top.
