There's something special about turn-key autocross ready cars and this is definitely one of the best examples around. GLWS Karl and I hope it stays local.

I do too. I'd like to at least have visitation rights after we split up. :(

I'll entertain offers, because I think I'm as surprised as anybody at used S2000 values. Here is the workflow of what I'm going to do with the car, in order:

1. Try to sell within THSCC as a package
2. Try to sell as a package regionally or nationally
3. Return to stock and try to sell privately through s2ki or s2kca, selling the parts separately
4. Place on open market via Craigslist and/or Autotrader
5. Trade it in on whatever we get for Kara

And Marcus - we could probably work out a trade for the shocks, my Konis for your stock ones plus some cash. LMK if you're interested in that.

wow.... nice car. That 25k price is a little tough, but considering the work done to car, probably worth it

Of course she is :) But we'd obviously rather sell my car than trade it in, unless some dealer (or Carmax) surprises the hell out of me.

This car was good enough to win Nationals each of the three years I drove it. I think it was top 5 during 3 of the 6 days it ran Nats. The first year (I think 08 in Heartland Park) it was less than 3 tenths out of first on Day #1. Day #2, the driver ran out of talent, thought he could push a lot harder and got crushed.

I think in 2010, after a really bad Day #1, the car moved all the way into 2nd place on Day #2 entering final runs. Once again, driver ran out of talent and dropped to 6th, but in a pretty deep class.

Anyway, while the CRs are definitely the car to have, Karl's car was usually easy to drive and I never felt like I had to do anything fancy in the car to be quick. In fact, I actually drove pretty conservatively, considering how infrequently I drove it, so it was a great car!! For the difference in cost and performance it's hard to beat this AP2.

Good luck with sale Karl, she'll be missed!!
