Mike,

I know you like older things a bit, but seriously that looks like a screen capture from DOS 2.01 days... :) Or is this some personal program you wrote in TurboPascal years ago and still use in XP-emulation mode?

Hey if it makes it more impressive, then sure :) No, it's just excel.

$3,500 seems very cheap for 2001 330i. Good going. I love the spreadsheet!

In retrospect I knid of wish I had waited for a nicer one. This is one example of a E46 where if it could go wrong, it is going wrong. Has literally every single textbook problem. All of them repairable, and I should have a near-perfect car for less invested than a typical used E46 out there.

Mike, what control arm bushings did you get from Amazon? At $21, I'm assuming it's just rubber that needs to be pressed into the housing or is it the housing and rubber bits?

Mine are in decent shape for the abuse they've seen but I might just do them anyway, or put some poly there.

so, for the Excel idiot (creating one like this anyways) would you be willing to make available the template you use to the masses? 8)

While I am amazed and not that OCD, I like this and would like to use this for my fleet.

They are still 66mm bushings so is the inner hole different sized or does the ZHP just have a stiffer version of the same bushing?

I've not looked at it in years, but I think the ZHP bushings are stiffer -- part of the M-sport pkg control arm setup. Maybe check out realoem to be verify.

Fortunately I had the opposite problem with our e39. It was high enough miles that the previous owner did all of the textbook problems. In the end since you can do the work all you will lose is time and end up with a solid car.

Ah yes, the Msport and M3 bushings are solid rubber whereas the regular 330 FCABs are oil filled for damping purposes.
