PM Notification emails but no PM's?

I have received two emails telling me I have a message but when I log in there are no new messages in my box. Not sure what is going on.

We randomly pick people to send PMs to.

What we do is send them a PM, then delete it. They'll get an email notification and never see the PM. Drives'em crazy!

Keith, I typed one up for you yesterday, but deleted it from my "Outbox" shortly thereafter, as it was unimportant, and could wait until next weekend anyway. Maybe that tripped some sort of "send Keith Vail an email" flag?

So I have found the culprit! That is fine Karl. I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't a problem somewhere in the system.

So I have found the culprit! That is fine Karl. I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't a problem somewhere in the system.

Something else I've noticed, that isn't quite the same thing, but similar. Sometimes, I'll browse this forum with my iPhone. If I have a PM, I don't get the pop-up on the iPhone. So sometimes, when I get back to the computer, I miss the PM unless I happen to glance at the "You have 1 new message" thing up at the top.

As with any forum that is browsed with a browser that doesn't allow for popups, this will happen, for it links an id with the last time visiting the site. If it's after the time of the PM, it turns notification popup off. - AB

What got me curious about it is the color of the icons down the left, the "New Posts" versys "No New Posts" things (orange versus white here). If I browse the site from my phone and get caught up, those colors don't change when I return to the computer. Seemed strange that it would track read activity by computer, but PMs by user.

When I visit from my iPhone it tracks my visit and marks the threads read.
