So, I got my new member packet yesterday (thanks!) and went to the URL specified, http://www.thsccforums.com and I get a generic "no site here, but you can buy it" page.

The whois entry currently says:

Since I'm new and nothing came up after a quick search of the forum, it may be something that everyone else knows about... but since it was still in the welcome letter, I thought it was worth pointing out.

If I'm being dumb, just chalk it up to me being a noob as far as THSCC goes.

Dan,

Welcome to the club and forum!

We need to update the new membership packet. We are using the thscc.com based URL.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Hey Dan,

Welcome to the club! Yeah, we didn't renew that domain name, and have decided not to. I didn't realize it was listed in the noobpack though...

Obviously you found your way here, but for future reference there are 3 easy ways to get to the forums:

  1. http://forums.thscc.com
  2. http://www.thscc.com/forums
  3. Click the "THSCC Forums" link (on the left nav) at http://www.thscc.com
Sorry for the confusion, and again, welcome!

That's what I figured -- that the domain was deemed superfluous.

The link to the forum took a little while to find, since it's neither in the red bar at the top, nor is it featured in any of the yellow nav links at the bottom of the page and the script-y font in the left nav kind of ran together.... but I'm not complaining. ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome.
