What has changed in regard to staying logged in between visits or when returning to the Forums?

Late last week (possibly right after the latest MicroSoft security updates) I began having to log back in each time I visit the Forums.

I haven't seen a similar problem with other forums.

Thanks!

Jason,

Before I start searching for them in my computer, is there a quick/easy way to locate/id the forum cookies?

Note that your instructions said to close the browser, delete the cookies, close the browser. How do I close something that I already closed? :(

Thanks,

Dick

Sorry about that. With different browsers, you would close the browser at a different point.

The browsers work differently and I think they are even different depending on the operating system that you use. With Mozilla, I can view the cookie folder. With IE, I just search from the search window on the start menu.

If you don't mind logging out of everything that you visit, you can delete all of your cookies from the control panel and that insures that you get all of them. Probably not a bad thing to do every once in a while anyway, just to clean up that folder.

With my plain jane Windows milenium edition the cookies are in a folder named Temporary Internet Files and that is under the Windows folder.

Or you can do the pull down menu Tools, then Internet Options, then delete cookies.

This is for Internet Explorer.

If you don't want to kill all your cookies you can goto the Temporary Internet Files folder.

You can sort by website and then flush all the thsccforums.com related files.

FYI,

I found the cookies (Documents and Settings) and deleted several versions of THSCC cookies. First attempt didn't solve the problem so I tried again (as recommended) and this attempt worked.

Thanks!
