Pics in sigs?

I've noticed in other forums that pics in sigs are the worst thing ever. Now we have someone that just joined that has started doing the same thing. Is this a good thing, or should we limit them to avatars only?

Pics in sigs should be grounds for revocation of all forum privileges. Then a severe beating. They destroy the ability of a forum to be readable.
