Perhaps rename the full course "VIR Classic"?

We could ask Kenny Hawkins to sponsor an event for us on the Patriot Course

Yep, that's about 50+% of Patriot Course running in its intended direction. I agree with you and is one reason why I've always wanted for THSCC to host another Patriot Course event some day. It's been what 5 years since the last one? I think the course is a blast and enjoy really working on the extreme technical nature of its slower speed sections. I'm in the minority however it appears. :( (plus the business case for renting it doesn't really work well I believe).

Stacy was looking at renting it Nov. 29th for and A/V event. But it was really hard to justify the cost and there didn't seem to be that much interest.

An interesting view from one of the more well known features of The Shrew, courtesy Ryan Jenkins.

I never liked the VIR Full designation either.

And dang'd if you didn't beat me to 'Classic'

'Original' would be better than 'Full', but there's gottta be some other good choices.

'Vintage'?

'Legacy'?

'The Real'?

Think I still like 'Classic' the best though...

How about jes plain ol 'VIR'? Shouldn't take too much for folks to figure that out pretty quick. That is, after all, what it is, and always will be, at least to some of us. If a reference to VIR doesn't include North, South, etc. I assume it's the original.

Just being pedantic, but I don't like that either.

"Where are you going to race?"
"VIR"
"Which configuration?"
"VIR"
"No, which configuration?"
"VIR"
"NO, WHICH CONFIGURATION?"
.
.
.

VIR Classic makes the most sense, IMHO.

Donnie...

I agree.

Feel free to be ostentatious anytime.

I suggest that all of us who agree to this, start calling it that from now on. Even to the extent of the club using that designation in all it's references. Like placing entries on calendars, especially Coco's if she'll go along with it.

Tri-Z and THSCC are well respected and should lead the way. Anybody don't like it... let 'um cry in they beer.

It shouldn't cause confusion with anybody this side of being a halfwit. I NEVER had anyone ask what I meant.

Might even catch on. Hey... it could happen.

Anybody got a problem with this...

Knowing Kenny since he was putting out the best damn paint jobs in 100 miles working out of a two car garage beside his house, sometimes spraying outside, I oughta know what this refers to. But I'm jes an addled OF and stuff often eludes me; course y'll already know that.

Haven't kept up with him much over recent years 'cept when I needed a bumper or some such repainted. There was that time a couple years ago his Viper and a sports racer of some kind attempted to defy the Laws of Nature at VIR Classic T4. Nasty business that was; being an HPDE. I will have to defend Kenny in this deal since he would have fixed the other feller's car for free if he hadn't got his panties in such a wad.

Please bring me up to date.

I was referring to several car vs armco incidents during the only THSCC event on the Patriot course. Nothing specifically to do with Kenny.
