Okay, while I hope track day folks do NOT do more of these mock rolling starts, this video is pretty fun. Especially just after the two minute mark. ;)

It looks like I was shot out of a cannon through Oak Tree!

WTF, was the video owner using only 6 of the 8 cylinders in that C6? I mean at first, I felt like he was just being a little cautious, until he became a complete welcome mat. Then when you shot by, I realized he was driving like a puss :) Nice. - AB

Aaron, you're being a little unfair. I mean there were a few slower vettes I had to pass first! ;)

Shite Donnie...that Oak Tree section was the automotive equivalent of a Benny Hill skit. The speed difference was comical.

I was thinking the same thing Ryan!

BTW - I like how he commented on all of the Cheby's but didn't even mention that he just got pwned by a lowly Honduh!

What you're seeing there is the difference between a very experienced racer and some guy in the advanced group that never has been in a race or a rolling start before.....Well may once before

if that Camaro is the one i think it is, distance is advisable. or a more aggressive demeanor to facilitate a pass quickly. otherwise one could ride behind 'er forever.

notice the braking at South Bend.

Not sure who you think is in the Camaro, but the 'er I think you're talking about was in the black Vette w/green, and passed both the vette taking the video and the Camaro on the back straight.

In as much as none of you were at the event save for Donnie, Graham, and me. I'd say he did a fair job for running on street tires and stock suspension, and no roll protection.
