I have a corbeau FX1 in mine mounted on the POS slider. The way I clear the bar is to take the padding out. You may not have a problem depending upon seat placement and body proportion. Legs long torso short, or legs short torso long...Seat is OK. but I would not necesarily recommend it.

last i checked Rob, you were still 4'9".

a non vanos 325 makes for a very build-able platform Mo. '92s are probably sub $5k.

hell an E30 is also a damn fine track car. i even know of one that will be available in October. probably won't make a good DD but it does have a pedigree.

if ya'll clear the bar in the Miata then have fun with it. learn some stuff and then buy a proper track car.

Some say that a car with a national championship pedigree could be sold to fund a non-pedigreed 1.6L car, a hard top, a rollbar, a pair of new seats, another set or two of wheels and cash for a couple DEs.

I'm just sayin'.

Yeah, to me it wasn't the car that was all that special, it was the drivers that piloted it. - AB

Isn't that the case 98% of the time?

If I had kept that Miata I was considering turning it into an SM. Didn't make sense at the time, but probably does now.

I agree about the drivers. It was a much faster car with the Petersons driving it than is is with the us driving it.

I am not sure the pedigree premium would be high enough to make it worth selling it and buying another miata. However, everything is for sale for the right price.

Since it's a lot of fun to drive, we are going to modify it so we can drive it more. We will continue to autocross it either in CS or some other class. The car no longer seems competitive on a national level (and neither am I).

Thanks to everyone for the advice on the other daily driver/track car.

Charlie, forget what everyone else says and do what feels right. I think a dual purpose '99 Sport would be fun for both track and autocross and even with the added weight of the rollbar, the car still can win regionally all day long. Have fun. :) - AB
