I put them in the washing machine with normal detergent and cold water.

and hang dry

i usually use woolite or wisk (started using wisk recently since it seems to get my driving suit cleaner and smells better) for all my nomex gear...make sure all velcro fasteners are closed, use cold water and gentle cycle, hang dry

I routinely wash everything but my actual race suit and just dry in the drier on gentle (low heat) settings. Never a problem. I have my race suits dry cleaned probably once every three or four race weekends. In between I just make sure they get hung up every day with an air flow source, and during a race weekend I will often rotate between two different race suits to give them a chance to air out.

Works fine for me. You certainly can't "wash out" the fire protecting qualities of Nomex. And I've never had it shrink or anything on me. I do fear doing the suit that way just because of all the layers and the more complex stitching, but for single layer stuff it's always worked fine to just wash it gently like anything else. I have plain Nomex, Carmyth, and Carbon-X gear. Treat it all the same way.

Just kidding of course :whip: - AB

I only wish I could crap that fast! I need privacy for that, and those corner workers were all over me in an instant. Either that or they got there just as I was waking up!

But it does bring new meaning to the UPS slogan "What can brown do for you?" Why, it can cover up your shit stains, of course!
