Even if we don't organize something like this, I'd be up for 2 days at Barber and 2 days at Road Atlanta for a deep-south track tour, if anyone knows of back-to-back dates with any other clubs.

Would make for a fun road trip with a group.

That's kind of the point, street cars have to make performance sacrafices for legal and comfort reasons. So if a pure street car can keep up with a trailer queen it should be rewarded.

Bah, I tow cause I hate changing wheels at the track. My car is actually pretty nice on the street. I've also towed several people's cars home from various events while they drove mine home on the street :) Trailer = options.

I'm against a driven vs towed class personally. And one of you guys with a busted car that I tow home for you will thank me for it :)

NOW, if there were something real in it besides bragging rights (cash, fame, etc) you bet I'd be willing to drive my car to the events.

How about a box of rubbber bands...

I have a few spares I keep incase the one I use to power my car breaks.

and changing the tires to something R Compound and such is another advantage to towing.

Yeah, my thinking was that the "One Lap" style class wouldn't allow tire changing. You gotta run on the street tires. You can carry spares for catastrophic failure purposes only. Or just take your chances.

That's a good one . I can see doing Barber, Monday, Tuesday and Road Atlanta, Thursday, Friday. Or the opposite.
If the run groups are keep to no more than 3 groups you will get some serious track time. Again keep it simple.
DE style for the fun of lapping on track

Absolutely!

Back in March I looked for a Barber/RA double header schedule and couldn't find one.

Ok, here's the closest thing I can suggest for a long road trip outing.

Thanksgiving weekend is Chin Motorsports at Road Atlanta, Nov 29th and 30th. Asphalt Ventures has one day at Vir Full on Monday, Dec 1.

So there you go, 3 days at 2 of the best tracks in the South East. With Chin, bring plenty of tires, you will get serious seat time.

hmm, I was invited to Atlanta for a big family get together last thanksgiving. Now lets see, if I tell my wife she has to stay at the house with all my crazy family while I go racing what do you think that will cost me?
