Hmm, time to have that discussion with the Wife. I did see Ryan and Vincent this weekend, they said I was looking rather buff and could easily fit in with the Porsche boys! I will have to schedule the the tanning bed though.

I'm thinking about it real hard, but it only leaves 2 days before our weekday HPDE.

I don't think non-PCA members can register until 3/31. :(

It was a great time. 3 Days of good weather and burning up fossil fuel. I had absolutely the slowest car out there in white group. Probably any group, but most of the folks in white group can actually drive their cars. I brought a toothpick to gunfight and have carpal tunnel elbow to prove it  There as always were the two or three people that did not understand passing signals (how to give them) Steve almost took care of one of them for us, but thought better of it  I learned that Miatas can't keep up with GT3's. Missed all of you who were not there....

Yeah great time with the P-boys. Took a couple of sessions in the blue group (does not pay to be modest with these guys) to gain some respect and start getting passing signals, couple of days for the corner workers to notice that they could give a passing flag to the car in front of me instead of just to me all the time, but I complain to much.

Rode with Graham one time, jeez that old coot is FAST! Thought I was going to toss my BBQ sandwich. Steve did a great job of wrenching on his car, beautifully painted roll cage and mirrors & he discovered where his fuse box was. Best comment of the weekend, from Rob- "I bought a bright orange ArmourAll shirt but I can't wear it to an Autocross because I look like a cone!"

On thing missing was the topless guys as it wasn't that hot, it was made up by the guy pitted near us that changed into his nomex underwear and driving suit before each session by stripping down to his black bikini's. Bikini's and sportscars-normally a good combination, not this time

Did they get a full roster... of instructors anyway... they were beating the bushes up to the last minute...

Reckon they'll figure out that some events aren't worth paying fees to instruct... 'specially when there's more'n one can afford to do anyway what with $4/gal gas... still 15-16 events / year in range w/o fees, so us po boys have to bypass these folks...

Unfortunately, with the economy going to hell in a hand basket and gas gonna probably get to $5 by the 4th, I'm betting that by next year the student, and instructor count will be down to the point most events will have to charge instructor fees, and I don't mean token fees either...
