I would look like a real shmoe doing 2:35, and it doesn't say anything about cruise control. I really want cruise control on my next car!

From one Mini Lover to another-cruise control- got it, it's a waste of time and $$$ in a Mini! I think the lack of horsepower makes it difficult to regulate. I almost never use it--even the slightest hill slows you WAY down. Besides, a REAL race car driver "drives" the car.

And, Cline.....think about what you're saying here! You're just setting yourself up for more abuse on this thread! :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: These boys are brutal!

I don't blame you one bit. I love C/C and my next track car will have it just as all my current cars do.

Two things all street driven cars cars must have IOM are C/C and A/C.

Yeah, but yours is just a hamster powered Cooper. Ours are on steroids. That's what the S stands for. :)

Really, Cruise works fine on mine.

I'm pretty sure these are the cars I saw a couple years ago up at VIR, and no, they weren't doing 2:11s. 2:40s more like it. If they're doing 11s, they've had a driver change.

Cline, have you written off your existing Mini altogether?

Wow, pretty soon somebody is going to throw a punch here!

My wife's cruise works great, we take it to the mountains all the time and no problem. Cruise is a cost savings to me, keeps me from getting tickets.

I believe so, It just has too much damage. I think my wife would divorce me if I start another project like that.

Yeah, but how much "driving" are you doing on a modern interstate cruising along trying to maintain a constant speed? CC allows you to change your foot position some on long trips and helps avoid the "oops" moments where you've let the speed creep up unaware. I can't live without it.

Oh wait. Yes I do.

Wasn't this thread about Cline wanting info on a 350Z?

OK, I'm done.
