I'd be afraid that after the initial unibody/chassis work was done, the time and pain of tracking down all the gremlins would mean a bunch of trips back and forth to the shop that did the initial work.

I already have bmw motorcycle in my garage that I am rebuilding. (Feb incounter with a large dog and stupid insurance agent has cancelled collision and comp to save money) My very understanding wife who supports all my hobbies has already chimed in on this one with a resounding no!
As for Grahams question 16 -17k is probably the value so you through in over a month of rental & diminished value and were over 75%.
If I bought it back I would have 12k in it before I could start racifying it. It would have a retail value of about 10k so I think I'll go with another one.
