The real question is are you all legs or all torso. That is the big determining factor.
I think my problem is that I am all legs AND all torso.

Seriously I "think" I am averagely proportioned. Sitting in the car right now (no seat), it appears to be doable. But it seems to be factor of how close I can get my butt to the floor. I keep wondering if some seat brands/models have the bottom of the seat lower than others and I just need to find those and try some test fits.

I am going to mount it as tight to the floor as I possibly can (within a 1/4" or so), and it will have a slight rake to it (front of seat will rest on the crossmember). With this and the seat pad removed, my helmeted head will fit down below the roll bar about the same distance as it did with the stock seat(cushion removed). I got the 4009W (yes, W is for wide) model. I am going to have to do some bending of the e-brake handle, and also cut into and reinforce the seat crossmember and maybe even a little of the center tunnel as well. That's why I say they *might* be in by CMP....gotta make some sparks first! The passengers side will be easier to mount, more room to work over there....
Oh, and for street driving, the pad will be put back into place. These cars present real fitment challenges for clydesdales like you and me.
I probably will need to do the slide forward and tilt back method as well. But I really don't want to cut into the seat crossmember, but I may have no choice.

I may also have to use a wide seat as well.
