1. Feels like to be Ryan:Everyone having twice as much HP but slowing to let me pass on the straights. Jason and I ran with the SVTCOBRA folks this weekend. Great bunch of people. They really enjoy their cars and going fast in the straights. They were great about giving point bys. I only hope F&S took some pics of me getting a point from a viper or vette or cobra

2. THSCC folks are the Best: IN the first session Sunday my drive belt broke. As my spare was at home on the work bench. Jason spent the day going back and forth to Danville to try to find the right belt ( Advance auto-Who makes a Mini-nah them numbers from Napa don't work here, but I digress). Jason must have used up $700 of gas!

Unfortunately, in retrospect I realize we couldn't get enough tension realease to get the proper belt on and the one I could get on worked very well and quitely until it shreaded north of Durham. I pulled over next to some bait shop. (Boy that little-car looks fun says the bait purchaser-well it ain't alot of fun right now, but anyway) I called family to come pick me up. I get a call from Kevin Butler and he offers to come pick me and the car up. I don't take him up on it because I have family already half the way to me, while I am talking to him Gwen Baake pulls up. They live near and turns out her kennell is 4 driveways away. So now my car is in the kennel. Anyway this is the best club to be a member!

Ring, Ring...

Cline: Hey Ryan its Cline, I stranded on the side of the road in Durham, have you got Kevin Butlers Cell #.

Ryan: Ummm yeah, sure but dont you have AAA?

Cline: Uhhhhhhh

If you would have told me you were in BAHAMA instead of Durham, I would have mentioned Gwen and Bernie.

Glad you got home and glad it wasnt me for once.

AAA FTW!!!

Damn Cline, I was hoping to hear that you made it home with no incidents. Yesterday was a day to be forgotten...bad luck corner in the South paddock. As I predicted, my car fired right up on the trailer when I got it home.

Saturday was another story altogether, we beat up on those straight line terrors pretty damn well!

That's what friends are for Cline. I've helped and been helped many times. It all seems to come full circle and THSCC folks are some of the best.

No AAA? C'mon Cline you should know better!

Ok, here is the deal on no Triple A. First, I don't buy anything I don't get commission on. 2. GMAC, who I represent, has come out with a super duper motor club but they haven't gotten my seperate license to sell it taken care of, guess who is getting a call today.

Please post the details of their plan. I'd like to compare.

I have Allstate Motor Club. Their plans are certainly better than AAA. I too would be interested in seeing the pricing options on GMAC as well. - AB

Yeah, that was just before I redlined the car and snapped the belt!

If you are real bored, page 6 has a series of pics of Jason and me leading a Viper out of Oak tree, he never got us! On page nine is a series of when I went Dukes of Hazards on Jason sprayed red clay all over him so he couldn't see where he was going!

Geez I wish I had someone from the club running with me at the National Corvette Museum event at VIR full. But all the waxers stayed home, carnuba Jagger and zymol Remchek were nowhere to be seen. However there are thirty some odd Z06's that know what a Tarheel Car Club decal looks like going away from them!!! As Cline said I know how Ryan feels, with a 350hp C5 vette I had the lowest HP in the blue group, but OH those turns. I really felt like a Miata and its soooo cool to get a pass by a 505 HP Z06 after climbing up his a$$ at Oak Tree. My instructor, Rob Whitener, said a stock C5 isnt supposed to run with these cars.....Waxers :P :P

Nahhh, not even close.

Until you have had the instructor of the car you are trying to pass put his hands out the window and mimic pulling a rope to help you by, you dont know how us Miatae feel

I got a plan simmering to fix all that thought (hint, hint Todd Breakey)

I have tried to stay away from the W word! Carnuba Jagger and Zymol Remchek. That's funny right there!

carnuba Jagger and zymol Remchek were there with Chin the following 2 days. Tons of track time :D Lots of really fast cars in their advanced group. I had a good time and my new exhaust system stayed together  And those Hoosier R6s grip is awesome!

Sorry Bernie, as much as I wanted to run with them, I am not paying for a track event in January that doesn't run until July. I'll run with someone else instead.
