Very good comments so far by all.

Brakes - in green group at Roebling, first time, I bet anything non-organic will be fine. But bring spares. Even if you end up being blazing fast, you will be in a lot of traffic, which helps brakes. But a call to Matt will virtually guarantee you to not have any brake problems.

Tires - start w/ street pressures, and check them once in a while after your sessions to make sure they aren't getting much over 40 PSI hot. I would bleed them down to about 39 or so hot.

You're going to have a blast. Even (especially?) if it rains!

Simon:

Good questions. This is the accepted rule of thumb:
For autocrossing you set target tire pressures when the tires are cold.
For track use you set tarrget tire pressures when the tires are hot.

Since you don't have track experience with these tires set them to
the factory recomendation for a fully loaded car, then check them
at the end of the 30 min run session's through out the day and adjust
warn as needed.

Once you determine you are at the target pressure (again this may take several sessions) take a cold reading when you get back to the hotel
or the next morning before you drive on track-so you know what
the cold setting will be next time.

Keep in mind:
1) this is your first track event, you are not going to get much heat in
them the first morning if not the frist day as you learn the line before
you come up to speed.

2) As a novice driver I would not get too worred about brakes at
Roebling other than to make sure the fluid is less than 3 months
old and you have at least half the pad material. Roebing in very
easy on brakes even when you are up to speed.
