As you all should know by now, TZC/THSCC will be back at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC this August (4th & 5th). So I encourage anyone who hasn't driven CMP before to come join us, it's a great track (even though it gets a bad rap from some).

TZC/THSCC registration can be found here: www.tzcthscc.motorsportreg.com

TONS of room still in the Beginner/Novice group... WE NEED YOU to keep the program going!

Now... for those of you who HAVE driven CMP before, and want some more time on it... I personally am hosting a lapping day on the Friday before our DE there. I'd love to see some regular TZC/THSCC people out there. It will be an open lapping format, very similar to what we do Friday at the Roebling event... open to Instructors, Advanced drivers, and Intermediate drivers with previous CMP experience, this will be a very low-key, drive on your own schedule track day.

Instructors who haven't driven CMP, or haven't driven it in a while, this would be a GREAT opportunity to get some extra seat time before the DE. Passing will be on any straight with a point, there will be a full compliment of corner workers, fire/rescue, and ALS working the event.

Instructors are not provided, thus the minimum experience requirement.

Registration will be done through MotorsportReg.com ... if you log in, go to your club membership section of your account look for Asphalt Ventures. Once you add my group to your membership list, go to your event calendar and you should see the event listed.

Otherwise, click THIS LINK to go directly to the registration pages.

All the "Insomniac" registrations are taken. You can still get in for $175 if you sign up before midnight Friday the 13th, after that, price goes up to $200. I REALLY need about 10 more people to sign up for this to make it worthwhile.

Same tech and car requirements as TZC/THSCC events... I'll be looking for a TZC/THSCC sticker on your windshield.

Post, PM, or email me with any questions!

Bump for desperately needing newbies and solo drivers for the THSCC event, and advanced drivers and/or instructors for the Asphalt Ventures event

So. . . um. . . I've driven CMP before.
I'm trying to get a couple of green students out for this.

I'm not sure what I'm driving.
Maybe an ITR in DS.
Or half-assed STX prepped 330.

Had to cancel my other plans for this weekend - soooo tempting...

I'm guessing with the desperate need for newbies, traffic will *not* be a problem?

You would be correct sir!

Biggest groups right now are Blue and yellow groups at about 21 cars each. Green group, newbies, have only 10 or 11 cars. Red group, only has 10 or 11 cars as well.
